The ski shuttle buses to all skiing areas are also close by. Chamonix is a centre for skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, sledging and ice skating. In the summer there are numerous options including hiking trails, rock climbing and mountaineering and paragliding. The town has many fine restaurants and bars which will suit all budgets and ages. Geneva airport is a 1 hour 10 minute drive from the apartment, whilst Chamonix-Mont-Blanc station, where you can catch the Mont Blanc Express (no charge) to stations throughout the valley, is just a 10 minute walk away.
